AFRICAN BEAUTIES BOYCOTT PROCTER & GAMBLE
- Leave the animals in peace, pleads Miss World Kenya -
Nairobi - 05.11.2002 - Based on yesterdays revelations by THE
INDEPENDENT newspaper and the British Union for the Abolition
of Vivisection (BUAV), Miss World Kenya, Marianne Kariuki
stated today in the Kenyan capital Nairobi to ECOTERRA Intl:
"We will completely refuse and boycott anything from Procter & Gamble
until they can proof that no animal had been misused for cruel testing and
the production of their consumer goods and until they stop their outrageous
and dishonest attitude towards the media and us as consumers and show
respect for the laws, the will of the people and not at least the animals!"
"I call on all my fellow sisters to join in the boycott!", Miss World
Kenya Marianne Kariuki proclaims, since Procter & Gamble (EA) Ltd.
sells not only the MAX FACTOR cosmetics, but also other products
like the washing powder Ariel in Kenya, and she adds:
"Our natural products from Africa are anyway better."
